Patrick is responsible for the overall direction and vision of Synbionik.
The company has enjoyed robust growth, introduced an array of new solutions, continued to push for innovation, and advanced its position as a provider for innovative resource production by means of a smart combination of biology and technology.
Patrick studied Medicine, General Management, Law, and Molecular Biology with a focus on Molecular Biophysics, Synthetic Biology, and Pharmaceutical Biology at Johannes-Gutenberg-University Mainz, University of Saarland and Middlesex University London.
He has over 7 years of experience in the field of product development and patent registration, as well as regulatory affairs consulting and is an expert for the NEM, as well as a state-approved pharmaceutical consultant with expertise in GMP and GDP compliance.
Stefanie is responsible for the implementation of company-wide operational excellence by designing sustainable and efficient processes. With her as Head of Business Operations, Synbionik has substantially advanced its process efficiency.
Her knowledge in BPM, Six Sigma, and Lean-Management has served the company in establishing organizational structure and agility.
She studied Industrial Engineering with specializations in Supply Chain Management and Production Engineering at the Technical University Ilmenau.
Linus oversees the commercial activities of Synbionik. He is responsible for Synbionik's Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Corporate Finance, and Communication.
Previously engaged as Head of Investments of the IONIQ Group, he joined Synbionik to advise the company on long-term strategies. As an investment manager, Linus worked closely with Patrick since the foundation of the company. Past stations include TeamViewer and Siemens Management Consulting.
Linus holds an MSc in Management & Strategy from the London School of Economics. As an undergraduate, he studied Philosophy and Economics at the University of Bayreuth and Columbia University.
Yannika is our Head of Research Operations. She is responsible for the management and coordination of Synbionik’s research projects, as well as the optimization of all lab processes through automatization. As a certified expert and consultant for genetic engineering at the DGuSV, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the organization.
She completed her Ph.D. in biology at the University of Potsdam funded by a stipend from the Max Planck institute. Previously, she worked at Merck KGaA in the Cell Biology Department and holds a Masters in Biotechnology from the University of Aberdeen.
Corina is the Director of Business Administration at Synbionik. She is responsible for managing all administrative processes and for the implementation of Synbionik's strategy throughout its projects.
Corina studied nutritional science (BSc) with a focus on biochemistry at the University of Hohenheim. She then acquired a further qualification by studying food economics (MSc) at the Justus Liebig University of Gießen.
Jakob is the Head of Genetic Engineering.
He oversees the strategic development within the Genetic Engineering department and the silicon planning of genetic modifications in microorganisms. This includes the selection and metabolic engineering of host organisms, enzymatic screening, and pathway design, protein engineering, and the construction of cloning vectors.
Jakob completed his Diploma thesis and Ph.D. thesis in Biochemistry at the Goethe University Frankfurt. He is certified as a project leader for genetic engineering work and consultant for genetic engineering at the DGuSV.
Julia is our Head of Operative Research and is responsible for the laboratory management at Synbionik.
She studied food chemistry at KIT Karlsruhe and worked in different fields of food regulations.
